Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine which recognises the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions.

Osteopaths assist healing by focusing on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function together as a holistic unit.

Osteopathic treatment uses techniques such as stretching and massage for general treatment of the soft tissues (muscles, tendons and ligaments) along with mobilisation and manipulation of specific joints and soft tissues using direct or indirect techniques.

Patientin

First Appointment

This appointment will include some time to take a history of your medical health as well as what your complaint is today.

Please fill out the health and wellness form attached to your email confirmation before your arrival.

Otherwise please arrive a little earlier to fill the form before our appointment. If the reason you are seeing me is due to an injury involving an incident, please also fill out the ACC form. (NB whether an ACC claim is appropriate will still need to be determined by myself and accepted by ACC to receive ACC assistance.)

We will then go through assessment, examination as well as treatment.
